 Distressing shown
StarMark Cabinetry uses several techniques to add character and appeal to cabinetry. They are shown on these two pages. All of our distressing marks are added by hand. There is no machine and there is no robot that can successfully duplicate what the eyes and hands of an artisan achieve through personal handling of the cabinetry.
CHISELING
Chiseling is used to create Homestead.
  DIPS
Dips are used to create Chateaux and Homestead and they are included in Old World Distressing.
    ROUNDED CORNERS
Rounded Corners are used to create Amaretto, Chateaux and Homestead. They are included in Cottage Distressing and Old World Distressing.
RUB THROUGH
Rub Through is used to create Amaretto.
SPECKLING,
DARK BROWN Speckling is used to create Chateaux.
 Finishing Touch MATTE TOP COAT
Matte Top Coat is a less reflective finish than our standard sheen. One way to describe Matte Top Coat is to use terms from the paint industry.
A satin or flat option is comparable to Matte
Top Coat, and semi-gloss is comparable to our standard sheen. Matte Top Coat is available on all stain-based finishes.
• Matte Top Coat on a stain is available on all
wood types at an upcharge.
• Matte Top Coat on all stain with glaze
combinations is free of charge.
• Matte Top Coat on all stain-based Specialty
finishes is free of charge.
